The Forgotten News Desk is on a mission! A mission to uncover those gems of news that might otherwise get forgotten.
Earlier this Spring, children at Broken Cross Primary Academy & Nursery found an unfinished copy of an old local newspaper, The Broken Cross Bugle. Unbeknown to them, it’s discovery set things in motion at The Forgotten News Desk. Before they, or she, realised it, Viv, Editor of the Forgotten News Desk, was in situ in the playground!
Working together, Broken Cross Primary Academy & Nursery have saved The Broken Cross Bugle, and issue 1 can now be found in Macclesfield Library and Weston Bakery, Earlsway.
Above are some photos from the Forgotten News Desk’s time at Broken Cross Primary Academy, and some examples of the children’s work, or come back in a couple of weeks to hear audio files of the newspaper articles.
