The Exchange
“it was what we had to do to keep everyone safe”
Inspired by old telephone exchanges, The Exchange is an audio installation designed to hold a collection of conversations around a chosen theme. Over the past year Filament Projects has been working with community members to capture experiences of people within the social care sector, particularly during the pandemic. The resulting conversations are now gathered in this interactive audio installation. The Exchange invites audiences to uncover some of these hidden stories, and also reflect on their own individual experiences.
The Exchange forms part of Cheshire West & Chester Council’s Reflections Cultural Programme. Reflections aims to bring together local residents and communities to reflect on the pandemic and preserve their thoughts and experiences for future generations.
